19 Dawson Volunteer Organisations Receive Grant Funding

In a huge boost for our volunteers, Federal Member for Dawson, Andrew Willcox has announced $63,373 will be delivered to 19 successful recipients of the 2023 Volunteer Grants.

The 2023 Volunteer Grants provide organisations with grants of $1,000 to $5,000 to benefit the work of their volunteers. This includes to purchase minor equipment, provide training, cover fuel costs, promote awareness of volunteering opportunities, or adjust policies and procedures to strengthen member safety.

“Our volunteers always put others before themselves; they’re the backbone of our region.” Mr. Willcox said.

“That’s why as the Federal MP, I’ve supported this grant program wholeheartedly.

“It’s awesome to see these 19 organisations from around Dawson receive this significant grant funding, which will ensure they can continue to support our volunteers.

“Thank-you to our Dawson volunteers, for everything you do. You truly make a positive difference in our region.

“To all the successful recipients, congratulations! The funding is well deserved, and I am looking forward to visiting each organisation to see how this funding has benefitted their volunteers.
