Aged Care Nursing Grants Open to Regions
Federal Member for Dawson Andrew Willcox is inviting eligible providers in the Dawson region to apply for grant funding that offers hope for the aged care workforce.
Mr Willcox said the funding was a positive step for the hard working aged care sector to grow their workforce.
“Aged care in regional areas have faced workforce strain for a long time. We need to both retain the workers we have living here already in the regions, as well as seeking to attract people to move to places like Dawson for work. This grant seeks to do that,” Mr Willcox said.
“Our aged care sector does so much to care for our older population. Sadly staff are often experiencing workplace fatigue due being short staffed for an extended period of time. These grants are needed now more than ever.
“I want to encourage all eligible applicants in the region to take advantage of this opportunity and put your application forward.
“More staff means more beds available and more elderly residents getting the timely care that they need.”
