ELECTION FUNDING PLEDGE FOR CRIME STOPPERS

Every Australian deserves to feel safe and be safe in their home and local community.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen crime spread across many parts of Regional Queensland especially in Townsville.

“We’ve also seen disturbing instances of innocent people being targeted by criminals which is getting out of control, leaving the community frightened in their own homes and businesses.”

“The Labor Government has simply been weak and incompetent on crime and community safety.”

“Keeping Australians safe is the first responsibility of governments. We must do better.” Andrew Willcox said.

A Dutton Coalition Government will deliver an additional $7.5 million funding over three years to Crime Stoppers, one of Australia’s most respected crime fighting organisations.

This additional support for Crime Stoppers will enable expanded operations and make our local community safer.

The Coalition will deport non-citizens who commit violent crimes, work with states and territories to implement tougher knife laws and tighter bail laws and enhance online safety for children.

A Dutton Coalition Government will our country back on track by tackling the crime and making our communities safer.
