LNP COMMIT $5,000 FOR MACKAY MEN’S SHED

The Mackay Men’s Shed is a community organisation dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of men by providing a space for social interaction, skill sharing, and community projects.

“The Men’s Shed plays an important role in getting men out of the house and back into society. The men can tinker with projects, play cards or simply have a cuppa and a chat.”

“Being a supporter of all Men’s Shed Associations and what they offer to each community, I was only too pleased to throw my support behind the Mackay Men’s Shed when I learned their association was in need of a new wide drum sander, that will help with that perfect finishing touch of the men’s projects, many of which are proudly made for other community organisations.”

“As an election commitment I am extremely pleased to announce $5,000 dollars towards a new wide drum sander and catcher” Federal Member for Dawson, Andrew Willcox said.

“For some men this shed gives them a purpose to come and be supported in the community which is tremendous.”
