Showtime Across Dawson

From Mackay, through to Townsville, its show time across Dawson! 

Federal Member for Dawson, Andrew Willcox, is commending the show societies and organisational committees through the region, and looks forward to seeing the thousands of locals enjoy the excitement that the Shows bring. 

“It’s an incredible time of year! Whether you’re into the fast rides and showbags, the cattle judging, or testing your own culinary skills through the home cooking competitions, our Shows have it all,” Mr. Willcox said. 

“As the Federal Member, I want to congratulate the men and women who work year-in and year-out to keep the grounds up to scratch, maintaining the pavilions and facilities, to bring these spectacular Shows to our beautiful region. 

“For many, the Shows are not just about being whizzed around on a ride, but bringing people together. Families and workers who live and work out on properties, make the trip into town, check out the livestock or the machinery on display, and catch up with family and friends. 

In June/July 2023, there are Shows right around the region; whether it be in Mackay, Proserpine, Bowen, the Burdekin, or Townsville.
